Leonard Cohen - famous blue raincoat

Leonard Cohen - Famous Blue Raincoat Lyrics

It's four in the morning, the end of DecemberI
'm writing you now just to see if you're better
New York is cold, but I like where I'm living
There's music on Clinton Street all through the evening.

I hear that you're building your little house deep in the desert
You're living for nothing now, I hope you're keeping some kind of record.

Yes, and Jane came by with a lock of your hair
She said that you gave it to her
That night that you planned to go clear
Did you ever go clear?

Ah, the last time we saw you you looked so much older
Your famous blue raincoat was torn at the shoulder
You'd been to the station to meet every train
And you came home without Lili Marlene

And you treated my woman to a flake of your life
And when she came back she was nobody's wife.

Well I see you there with the rose in your teeth
One more thin gypsy thief
Well I see Jane's awake --

She sends her regards.
And what can I tell you my brother, my killer
What can I possibly say?I guess that I miss you, I guess I forgive you
I'm glad you stood in my way.

If you ever come by here, for Jane or for me
Your enemy is sleeping, and his woman is free.

Yes, and thanks, for the trouble you took from her eyes
I thought it was there for good so I never tried.

And Jane came by with a lock of your hair
She said that you gave it to her
That night that you planned to go clear

Jefferson Airplane: Triad

Jefferson Airplane Triad

You want to know how it will be

Me and him OR you and me
You both stand there your long hair flowing
Eyes alive your mind still growing
Saying to me--"What can we do now that we both love you",
I love you too-- I don't really see
Why can't we go on as three
You are afraid--embarrassed too
No one has ever said such a thing to you
Your mother's ghost stands at your shoulder
Face like ice--a little bit colder
Saying to you--"you can not do that, it breaks
All the rules you learned in school"
I don't really see
Why can't we go on as three
We love each other--it's plain to see
There's just one answer that comes to me
--Sister--lovers--water brothers
And in time--maybe others
So you see--what we can do--is to try something new--
If you're crazy too--
I don't really see
Why can't we go on as three.

Olivia Newton-John, "Why can't the three of us live together?"

Olivia Newton-John, "Culture Shock"
"Why can't the three of us live together?"

(S. Kipner/P. Bliss)

I've been trying to tell you
I've been putting it off, putting it off
Can't wait any longer
You've been good to me
And that only makes it harder
To say what I gotta say

You gotta know I didn't plan it
It was the last thing on my mind
How can you love two people at the same time?
Now I don't wanna lose you
But I can't give him up

I know it's unconventional
Radical but practical
Why can't the three of us live together?
It's a culture shock
But it's the only hope we've got
Tell me, why can't the three of us live together?

If I could go back and undo it
If I had a time machine
I'd make it unhappen like a bad dream
But honey, you gotta know, I didn't plan it
It was the last thing on my mind
How can you love two people at the same time?
Now I don't wanna lose you
But I can't give him up

I know it's unconventional
Radical but practical
Why can't the three of us live together?
It's a culture shock
But it's the only hope we've got
So,tell me, why can't the three of us live together?

You're not taking this too well
It's out of the question
I can tell
It's not gonna work, is it?

I know it's unconventional
Radical but practical
I don't wanna lose you,no
But I not gonna give him up
It's a culture shock
But it's the only hope we've got
Tell me, why can't the three of us live together?

I know it's unconventional
Radical but practical

Terre & Maggie Roche, "You're The Two"

Terre & Maggie Roche, "You're The Two"

You're the two that I want
You're the two that I want
Some girls'll settle for just one
They don't know what they're missin' they ain't havin' any fun
You're the two that I want

Jane told Betty she saw me last night
She had her socks shocked off but she was tryin' to be polite
We were arm in arm in arm and that just didn't seem right
I was walkin' with my babies in my high heel shoes
Havin' so much fun I nearly lost my blues

.
You're the two that I want

He's a big strong boy he can bust out of chains
Says what he means he don't play no games
But you what you're missin' in muscle you make up for in brains
Between you two I got my two hands fullI got one to push and another one to pull
Two that I want

I can't believe this is happenin' to me
I'm just about as happy as a girl can be
With all this lovin' I feel wild and free
Maybe I should press my luck and try for three

My Boyfriend's Girlfriend isn't Me

My Boyfriend's Girlfriend

There's lots of kinds of people in this world
and I'm, well, I'm not like other girls
How do I explain this properly?
My boyfriend's girlfriend isn't me.

Well obviously one of them is...
But there's another girl of his
And I know her and she knows me

and that would be great if it was just us three.
But she has a guy who's even more pretty
and a long-distance thing in another city
He and his wife come by when they can and they have a kid who calls me his aunt.
Just when I thought it was all too crazy I tried to draw our family tree.
There's nothing wrong with extra love
But the paper wasn't big enough.

Chorus:
Of all the ways I've ever dated
it's never been so complicated
The chain can extend to eternity
'cause my boyfriend's girlfriend isn't me.

We spent Christmas eve with my boyfriend's dad
Christmas day with my folks and the feast they had
New Years, he went to his girlfriend's city
I mean the one who isn't me.

She brought him and her other guy
to her company picnic and I won't lie
I wasn't used to being alone
so I want someone new of my own.

It isn't easy to find a fling
'Cause when you hit on some tasty thing
They say "Aren't you with that guy?"
You say "Oh he doesn't mind.

Have you ever seen 'Big Love'?
Know what I mean, wink, wink, nudge, nudge..."
And they say "Oh, so you're a Mormon?"
"No! ...I'll explain from the beginning..."

Chorus When the partners get together,
the primaries and all the others,
we give the newbies a little primer
and we all get out our day timers

Calendars as far as the eye can see.
"When can I see you?"
"When are you free?"
"Who gets me on my birthday?"
and then "Does anyone have an extra pen?"

The kids have the best celebration.
Gifts from three dozen odd relations.
There's Uncle Jackie's girlfriend, Mary,
Ed who is her secondary...

Ed's new boyfriend brought along his ex,
whose fling is going strong with someone
that I used to know
and just became my boyfriend's beau...

Chorus
A couch where four can snuggle up
Suddenly isn't big enough
And even so we don't give up.
There's no such thing as too much love.

Sting: if you love someone set them free

Sting, If you love someone set them free...

"If You Love Somebody Set Them Free"

If you need somebody, call my name
If you want someone, you can do the same
If you want to keep something precious
You got to lock it up and throw away the key
If you want to hold onto your possession
Don't even think about me

If you love somebody, set them free

If it's a mirror you want, just look into my eyes
Or a whipping boy, someone to despise
Or a prisoner in the dark
Tied up in chains you just can't see
Or a beast in a gilded cage
That's all some people ever want to be

If you love somebody, set them free

You can't control an independent heart
Can't tear the one you love apart
Forever conditioned to believe that we can't live
We can't live here and be happy with less
So many riches, so many souls
Everything we see we want to possess

If you need somebody, call my name
If you want someone, you can do the same
If you want to keep something precious
You got to lock it up and throw away the key
If you want to hold onto your possession
Don't even think about me
If you love somebody, set them free

black tape for a blue girl: all my lovers

All my lovers[black tape for a blue girl]

All my lovers
All my lovers
I'm above him looking into his eyes
Clutching him tight
He touches my hair, touches my breast
I feel him inside me
I devour him
All my lovers
My lovers help me brush away deception from my path
Back to a place where thoughts are pure
Nothing to hideIn his arms, the freedom I feelI see clear to my soul
And I don't love you less
Because of them

I don’t need you less
When I feel his caress
All my lovers
All my lovers
Some spend the night overanalyzing
But open your eyes
And look all around
Have you ever noticed
The beautiful things
Dancing right in front of you swirling in the translucent light
just waiting for you to take one by her hand...
All my lovers All my lovers All my lovers All my lovers

I've Got Five Moms And Three Dads

Tom Hunter, "I've Got Five Moms And Three Dads",
http://www.peteralsop.com/EbenezersMakeOver.htm#FiveMoms

We all live in a big old house
8 adults, 6 kids and one pet mouse
2 dogs, 3 cats and a parakeet
We got a great big garden and we never eat meat
My room’s upstairs and down the hall
It’s the one with the crayons all over the wall
3 other kids share the room with me
We’re just one big crazy family
And I’ve got 5 moms and 3 dads
It may sound strange, but it ain’t so bad
When you get tired of one, you can go find another
It’s a whole lot better than one dad and mother.

It’s not as confusing as it might be
At least I know which mom and dad had me
But some of the adults wonder if it’s okay
To go on raising their kids this way
I keep saying everything’s just fine
‘Cause mostly we have a pretty good time
It’s hard to explain just what you missed
If you’ve never had a home like this
Where I’ve got (Chorus)

I suppose some day when I’m all grown up
They’ll take a survey to see if I’m screwed up
Asking all of us hippie kids
What we think of what our parents did
I’ll have to ask which parents they mean
I’ve got a whole lot more than most kids I’ve seen
And if we haven’t solved all the problems yet
At least we’ve come up with a whole new set!
‘Cause I’ve got (Chorus)

So come on by and visit us
We’re the house with the black VW bus
There’s a swing out front and a beat up car
And a beer sign from some western bar
Sunday is our potluck night
Whatever you can bring, it’ll be alright
There’ll be games and songs and food and jokes
I’ll introduce you to all my folks,
I’ve got (Chorus)

Arno Nordheim: PolyPoly

" Composed of six tape loops of various length, polypoly is mind boggling on many levels... technically, to hear the piece return to its starting point would take 102 years. It played continually for six months in the Scandinavian Pavilion at 1970's World Exposition in Osaka. Comprised of sound samples and musical electronics, this is a 21-minute-plus segment of a self-regenerating landscape rolls past again and again in different dimensions each time. The sounds are relatively mundane clatter, music, sound effects or disembodied voices; some are fairly distorted, and others are just plain crazy! The loops are long and varied enough that, in this sample, you don't actually get any real effects of overt repetiveness; it remains quite unpredictable... perhaps after a few weeks one might catch on to the patterns "

School of etiquette

A canção é a excelente "School of etiquette" da banda norte americana Boyskout.

Boyskout, School of Etiquette

I don't need your boy's school of etiquette
I don't mean to be someone or not
rough edge stays
class number year
this is who I am
so take me as I come

she was a sinner and a saint
(walk on the plank)
a sinner and a saint
(daring and proud)
a sinner and a saint
(she wasn't afraid to kiss me)

she was a sinner and a saint
(avenue cat)
a sinner and a saint
(but check I went)
a sinner and a saint
(I wasn't afraid to kiss her)

I don't need your sex machine
I don't mean to be someone or not
what I just face
is a cause of a hero
this is who I am
so take me as I come

She was a top and a bottom
(she was a switch)
a top and a bottom
(she was a switch)
a top and a bottom
(she liked it both)

She was a top and a bottom
(she was a switch)
a top and a bottom
(she was a switch)
a top and a bottom
(she liked it both)

I don't need my tweedious years of a shirt
I don't need to fit a gender role
nobody here's going to lay it on me
wake up to the 21st century

I don't need your boy's school of etiquette
I don't mean to be someone or not
what I just face
is a cause of a hero
this is who I am
so take me as I come
---

A Father´s Music

Nao me apetece dizer mais nada.

A Father's Music
de Igor Heitzmann
105´ Alemanha 2007

Cortes!

Melissa Etheridge - Threesome

Some people try to keep something alive
After it's gone, After it dies
They try all kinds of things
Like taking off rings
Swapping up keys
Seeing who swings

I'm happy to say that you and I've got no problem
Baby, I just wanted you to know

Chorus:
I don't wanna have a threesome
I don't wanna sleep with nobody else
I don't wanna be a swinger
I'd rather keep you all to myself

Now, sometimes at nightafter the kids are in bed
I'm changing the channels
And you're surfing the web
I stumble onto that show
With all of those ladies
You know with those things
Acting all crazy

I don't know how they manage
To do all that damage
We barely find enough time to kiss

(Chorus)

I've got enough spice
In this family life
I don't need an affair with a friend

I don't wanna have a threesome
Ever again

So I'll get away
If you can slip away too
I'll meet you at three
Alright, I'll meet you at two
We know just where to go
We know just what to do
It's perfect that way
Just me and you

(Chorus)

I've got enough spice
in this family life
I don't need an affair with a friend

.

I don't wanna have a threesome
I don't wanna have a threesome
I don't wanna have a threesome
Ever again

Perdi a cabeça, esqueça

Perdi a cabeça, esqueça

(regina guimaraes, ana deus e paula sousa, 1992)

A sombra avanca
ou sou eu que recuo.
A luz é guarda roupa
O contrário dela é pouca luz
e nao nudez.

Com o ciúme as contas nao batem certas.
Quem sou eu para falar de mim?

Light Off Topic: XiuXiu

III days

Three Days
(Jane´s Addiction, taken from Ritual de lo Habitual)

Three days was the morning.
My focus three days old.
My head, it landed to the sounds of cricket bows...
I am proud man anyway...
Covered now by three days...

Three ways was the morning.
Three lovers, in three ways.
We knew when she landed, three days she'd stay.
I am a proud man anyway...
Covered now by three days...

We saw shadows of the morning light the shadows of the evening sun till the shadows and the light were one. Shadows of the morning light the shadows of the evening sun till the shadows and the light were one...
True hunting is over.
No herds to follow.
Without game, men prey on each other.
The family weakens by the bite we swallow...
True leaders gone, of land and people.
We choose no kin but adopted strangers.
The family weakens by the length we travel...

All of us with wings...
All of us with wings...
All of us with wings!
All of us with wings!
All of us with wings!
All of us with wings!

Erotic Jesus lays with his Marys.
Loves his Marys.
Bits of puzzle, hitting each other.
All now with wings!
"Oh my Marys! Never wonder... Night is shelter for nudity's shiver..."
All now with wings…

.
